Japan Oct Retail Fund Value Dips 1.1% to $750 bln
TOKYO, Nov 15 (Reuters) - The value of investment trust funds targeting Japanese retail investors fell to $750 billion in October, down 1.1 percent from the previous month due to a stronger yen and falls in global share prices despite strong fund inflows.
Net inflows from Japanese individuals halved to 408.7 billion yen in October after reaching a three-year high of 934.6 billion yen the previous month,the Investment Trusts Association of Japan said.
The toushin market has seen net inflows for 19 consecutive months.
The overall asset value of investment trust funds, or toushin, fell 696.2 billion yen to 61.87 trillion yen ($749.9 billion) in October.
The value of toushin invested in foreign equities and bonds was hurt as the yen strengthened against the dollar by 3.7 percent.
A 1.8 percent slide in the Nikkei average .N225 was another reason for the depressed performance.

Bunds rally after UK data; peripherals widen

LONDON, Nov 2 (Reuters) - German government bonds rallied on Monday, tracking UK gilts after data showed activity growth in the UK construction sector slowed more than expected, raising concerns Britain's GDP growth could slow.
But volumes were thin ahead of a Federal Reserve meeting starting later in the day and peripherals came under renewed pressure, with Greece underperforming and the Irish 10-year yield spread creeping to a new high over Bunds as investors were reminded of peripheral euro zone debt concerns.
"We are seeing a general flight to quality with investors deciding that before the conclusion on Wednesday of the Federal Reserve's meeting it is best to keep your assets in higher quality (paper)," a dealer in London said.
The Fed was expected to announce a new Treasury purchase programme to stimulate the economy after the two-day meeting ends on Wednesday, with markets pricing in asset purchases of about $100 billion a month for five months and an open mandate...
